Esto supone en la pr\u00e1ctica un consumo excesivo y un gasto innecesario de productos y recursos naturales. Por ello, antes de adquirir nada, por muy atractivo o sugerente que parezca, hay que preguntarse: \u00bfnos ofrece algo que necesitamos de verdad? \u00bfrealmente tenemos que sustituir lo que ya tenemos?<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2. Alargar la vida de los productos<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despu\u00e9s de reducir, reutilizar es la segunda erre m\u00e1s importante del consumidor ecol\u00f3gico<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuanto m\u00e1s duran los productos, menos recursos se utilizan. Las opciones son muy diversas, desde el cl\u00e1sico uso del papel por las dos caras, hasta la actualizaciones de piezas del ordenador, del coche, etc., para que duren m\u00e1s. Asimismo, siempre que se pueda, es conveniente optar por productos de calidad, hechos para durar, y cuidarlos. Y es que, como dice el refr\u00e1n, a la larga lo barato sale el caro; y no solo para el bolsillo, sino tambi\u00e9n para el medio ambiente.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3. Donar o intercambiar productos usados<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lo que para una persona puede ser algo in\u00fatil o sin valor, para otra puede ser un tesoro. Libros, ropa, discos, muebles, etc. se pueden donar a personas o instituciones que lo necesitan, o intercambiarse entre familiares y amigos. En Internet hay iniciativas de trueque para dar y recibir cosas gratis de todo tipo de art\u00edculos, como la internacional Freecycle o la institucional y m\u00e1s cercana Truke de la Diputaci\u00f3n guipuzcoana.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>4. Reutilizar objetos usados y darles m\u00e1s valor<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">El <i>\u00abupcycling\u00bb<\/i> o <i>\u00absupra-reciclaje\u00bb<\/i> transforma un objeto sin uso o destinado a ser un residuo en otro de igual o mayor utilidad y valor, como mobiliario o joyas, e incluso algunas iniciativas pagan a los consumidores que lleven sus productos viejos. En otras ocasiones, se convierte en una manualidad ecol\u00f3gica y divertida que da lugar a objetos muy originales.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>5. Evitar los productos de usar y tirar<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cambiar los productos desechables por productos reutilizables, adem\u00e1s de ahorrar dinero, es una pr\u00e1ctica que evita un considerable impacto ambiental: envases de alimentos y bebidas, vasos, platos, bol\u00edgrafos, hojas de afeitar, toallas, bolsas de la compra, etc. pueden tener una vida m\u00e1s larga. Muchos de estos productos de usar y tirar est\u00e1n hechos de pl\u00e1stico, de ah\u00ed que cada vez m\u00e1s consumidores se vuelvan <i>\u00abplasticarianos\u00bb, <\/i>para evitar el abuso de dichos productos y sustituirlos por otros que puedan emplearse de nuevo. En el momento de hacer la compra, se puede llevar un carro o bolsas reutilizables, y en casa se pueden utilizar tarros, frascos o cajas para guardar todo tipo de productos, rellenar los cartuchos de tinta de la impresora, usar pilas recargables, etc.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>6. Utilizar productos de segunda mano y de pr\u00e9stamo p\u00fablico<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los cl\u00e1sicos productos de segunda mano, ya sea en mercadillos, rastros o tiendas especializadas, han aumentado sus posibilidades con la llegada de Internet. Hay p\u00e1ginas web que ofrecen todo tipo de productos con los que todos ganan. Asimismo, diversas iniciativas han puesto en marcha tiendas de venta de bienes usados, como ropa, muebles, electrodom\u00e9sticos, etc. Al adquirir en estos sitios, adem\u00e1s de ahorrar dinero, se reduce el impacto ambiental. Si adem\u00e1s tienen un componente de integraci\u00f3n social y cooperativo, se contribuye tambi\u00e9n a la inserci\u00f3n de personas con dificultades. De manera similar, y sin gastar dinero, se puede recurrir a bibliotecas u otros sistemas de pr\u00e9stamo p\u00fablico de objetos, como bicicletas.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>7. Aprovechar los sistemas de consumo colaborativo<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">El consumo colaborativo, tambi\u00e9n conocido como Econom\u00eda de la Colaboraci\u00f3n o Econom\u00eda del Acceso, defiende que en vez de comprar los productos para uso exclusivo, se compartan, reutilicen y redistribuyan. El ejemplo m\u00e1s t\u00edpico es el de un taladro: \u00bfpara qu\u00e9 adquirir uno cuando se estima que solo se emplea durante 15 minutos de media en toda su vida? Al sacar el m\u00e1ximo provecho a los productos y servicios, el consumidor ahorra dinero y el medio ambiente tambi\u00e9n lo agradece. Por ello, los sistemas de consumo colaborativo son cada vez m\u00e1s diversos, en especial gracias a las posibilidades de Internet. Pero tambi\u00e9n se pueden hacer redes f\u00edsicas, entre vecinos, amigos y familiares cercanos.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>8. Reparar e incluso crear nuevos objetos reutilizados<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Frente al <i>\u00abusar y tirar\u00bb<\/i>, o a los productos que se quedan obsoletos enseguida aunque no se estropeen, como tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles u ordenadores, cada vez m\u00e1s personas optan por el <i>\u00abrep\u00e1ralo\u00bb<\/i> o incluso el <i>\u00abhazlo t\u00fa mismo\u00bb<\/i>. Los fixers (reparadores) ponen el \u00e9nfasis en reparar o actualizar los productos para no tirarlos a la basura.
